Marc Vanrunxt (1960) is a Belgian dancer and choreographer. He explores the boundaries of dance as a medium and choreography as a language. From active stillness, called the “exercise at infinity”, we set off for an exploration of the space around our bodies, the kine sphere.
The spatial theory as developed by Rudolf von Laban (1879-1958) is a way to harmoniously express ourselves in a harmonious environment. The space around our body is divided into different planes and points. These points become connected to each other, creating a drawing in space; thus creating physical awareness. In a short workshop, choreographer Marc Vanrunxt will explain this 'tool'.
