Unless you are a musician, you usually sit at a distance from the musical happenings. At this rehearsal, you get the opportunity to listen in amid the musicians - in the belly of the symphonic orchestra.
You become a non-playing participant during the dress rehearsal of Maurice Ravel's most famous piece - a challenge, by the way, for the percussionists in the orchestra.
